Nirvana’s ‘Nevermind’ tribute released for free on SPIN.com
It’s nice to see Meat Puppets and The Vaselines on here, Kurt was big fans of both bands. (Nirvana actually covered songs from both bands during the MTV unplugged taping, Meat Puppets actually played with them on a few)
Titus Andronicus and Surfer Blood did spot on performances; while Butch Walker, Foxy Shazam and Midnight Juggernauts (to name a few) took a little creative freedom with the songs. All in all, very enjoyable if you’re a fan of the album and are open to listening to it in a different way.
